FAQ About Roof Repairs
01
How do I know if I need a roof replacement instead of a repair?
If your roof is over 20 years old, has widespread damage, frequent leaks, or missing shingles in multiple areas, a full replacement is often the best long-term solution. We’ll always give you an honest assessment.
02
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements can be completed in just one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof and the weather conditions.
03
What types of roofing materials do you offer?
We offer a variety of high-quality materials, including asphalt shingles, metal roofing, and other options to match your home’s style, durability needs, and budget.
04
Will my landscaping be protected during the replacement?
Yes! We take extra care to protect your property, including tarping and clean-up, to leave your yard looking just as good as when we started.
05
Do you offer financing for roof replacements?
Absolutely. We have flexible financing options to help make your new roof affordable, with quick approvals and plans to fit any budget.
FAQ About Roof Ventilation
01
Why is proper roof ventilation so important?
Proper roof ventilation keeps fresh air flowing through your attic, preventing moisture buildup, mold growth, and heat damage. It also helps your insulation work more effectively, keeping your home comfortable and energy bills lower.
02
What do baffles do in my attic?
Baffles, or rafter vents, keep air pathways open between your soffit vents and attic, making sure your insulation doesn’t block airflow. This helps maintain consistent ventilation throughout your attic space.
03
How can I tell if my attic is under-insulated?
Signs include uneven temperatures in your home, high energy bills, ice dams in winter, and drafty rooms. A professional inspection can determine if your insulation is adequate and properly installed.
04
Will adding baffles and insulation really save me money?
Yes! Together, they help your HVAC system run more efficiently, reduce heating and cooling costs, and can extend the life of your roof by preventing moisture and heat damage.
05
Do you offer financing for insulation and ventilation upgrades?
Absolutely. At HHI, we offer flexible financing options to make it affordable to improve your home’s insulation, ventilation, and energy efficiency — all backed by our workmanship warranty and commitment to quality.

FAQ About Metal Roofs
01
How long does a metal roof last compared to traditional shingles?
A properly installed metal roof can last 40-70 years, while traditional asphalt shingles typically last 15-20 years. It’s a long-term investment that can save you money on future replacements and repairs.
02
Is a metal roof noisy when it rains or hails?
No — today’s metal roofs are installed with solid sheathing and insulation that significantly reduce noise. Most homeowners say they hear little to no difference compared to other roofing types.
03
Will a metal roof make my house hotter in the summer?
Actually, metal roofs reflect solar radiant heat, which can reduce cooling costs by 10-25%. Many homeowners find their energy efficiency improves year-round.
04
Do metal roofs hold up well in Northeast Ohio’s weather?
Absolutely. Metal roofs are designed to withstand heavy snow, ice, high winds, and temperature swings. Plus, snow slides off easily, which helps prevent ice dams.
05
Are there financing options available for a new metal roof?
Yes! We offer flexible financing options, including same-as-cash, long-term, and short-term plans to keep your project affordable — with quick approvals to get started right away.
06
Can I choose different colors and styles for my metal roof?
Definitely. Metal roofs come in a wide variety of colors, finishes, and profiles, so you can boost your home’s curb appeal while protecting it for decades.
07
Is a metal roof heavy? Will my house need extra support?
No — metal roofing is actually lighter than asphalt shingles or tile, so in most cases, no additional structural support is needed.
08
Do metal roofs attract lightning?
No — metal roofs do not increase the likelihood of a lightning strike. They are non-combustible and actually help protect your home in the unlikely event of a strike.
09
Are you insured and bonded for metal roofing installations?
Yes — Homestyle Home Improvements is fully insured and bonded, and all of our installers are trained to ensure your new metal roof is done right.
10
Do you offer warranties on your metal roofs?
Absolutely. Our metal roofs come with lifetime manufacturer warranties plus our own workmanship guarantee for your peace of mind.

Why should I get a roof inspection?
A roof inspection helps identify hidden damage, leaks, or wear before they become costly problems. It’s the best way to protect your home and your wallet.
02
How often should I have my roof inspected?
We recommend a professional inspection at least once a year, and after major storms, hail, or high winds common in Northeast Ohio.

What does a roof inspection include?
Our inspections cover your shingles or metal panels, flashing, gutters, vents, attic, and structural components. We check for leaks, water damage, mold, and other signs of wear.
04
How long does a roof inspection take?
Most roof inspections take about 30-60 minutes, depending on the size and complexity of your roof.

It’s not required, but we encourage homeowners to be available if possible so we can show you what we find in real time and answer your questions on the spot.
06
Will you inspect inside my attic too?
Yes! Checking your attic is crucial. We look for signs of leaks, moisture, poor ventilation, or insulation issues that aren’t always visible from outside.
